The Airport of the Pacific is a forthcoming joint-use facility, combining a civilian international airport and a military base, to be situated in Conchagua, El Salvador. It will serve the city of La Unión and the proposed Bitcoin City. Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele introduced the airport as part of his “Plan Cuscatlán” during his 2019 presidential campaign. The Legislative Assembly approved the construction on April 26, 2022, and land preparation began in March 2023.
